the entire godot project and the majority of art/sound/code was created by myself during the jam period, although i used CC0 resources like Freesound and Godot shaders. some music was created before the jam period (by myself).
this game was heavily inspired by yume nikki (the source of the character "mado"), hylics, and lisa: the painful, so check those out too!
you can find the game's source code and assets on its open-source repository. thank you for playing!

(A bit warning for others, it will be a bit spoilers I guess)
Welp, I had so much fun in this game! Probably still a lot of content, despite being a mini JRPG. Presentation of this game is absolutely stunning, both graphics and Music/Music Choices/SFXs, Combat is pretty great, it's SMT press-turn, but also has some unique depth in status effects like making some enemies vulnerable to certain elements, and acting as buffs and debuffs. I also had some chuckles and laughs on some references. The NPC dialogues are also random at times, tho still make sense, and it fits into the style of this game. I guess the best one in the cool reference is the Barracks Settlement, and the enemies are basically the NPCs of that said area as well, and you can make the Mado join, with her skills, are basically her effects, which is so awesome. I'm unsure if I found the ending, I just beat what I think the last boss, and everything turn white, and just tried to wander around and see if anything changed, and was nothing, and decided to die, and revisit it and it's back to black and just empty. Is that it, on that part? Well just lemme know on that, if you will answer about it that is.
Overall, again, phenomenal game for a game jam.
My playthrough of the game.
thank you so much for playing :D you did reach the ending, i didn’t have time to make a cutscene and thought people would never reach that part XP maybe i will finish it and patch up some rough edges as well!!
